BC Wildfire Binding Authority
Effective immediately, binding authority is suspended for any new business or adding to or increasing coverage on existing policies located within an area currently under an Evacuation Alert or an Evacuation Order.
This restriction will remain in place until the alert or order has been lifted for the area in question.
During this time, we will continue to provide coverage for our existing policies.
Repair Network Partnership Announcement
In an effort to streamline and improve the glass claims experience for our customers, Stratford Underwriting will be transitioning automotive glass claims to the TAG Network, a division of Fix Auto Canada. This partnership will increase Stratford’s preferred glass shop network from 67 to over 260 across BC, providing our customers with more options. The process for reporting claims will remain the same, and there will be no change to the Stratford claims phone numbers or our online claims reporting feature.
Effective start date for the transition to the TAG Network will be Tuesday July 13th, 2021.
